Can you? Will you?

He is still the same man inside. Can you look past the shell of who he has become and find him? Will you? His heart still beats and bleeds for you, he has just lost touch with that part of himself. He grips too tight, he tries too hard and too little. Can you help him find his way back to himself? Will you? He could make you laugh until your stomach hurt. He could make you cry with his sincerity and romance. Can you look past the pain of the present and see the future you once saw in his eyes? Will you? He has been callus and coarse, but he is ready to change. He is committed to proving himself....not just to you, but to himself. He will succeed. He will metamorphosize. Can you, once again, offer patience and time for him to show you these changes? Will you? Time was once measured in forever for you two. Plans and futures were on the horizon. A restaurant, a theatre, an adventure, a child. Now the clock seems to wind out of control with each minute pulling you further and further from a place that you want him. Can you slow the pace? Will you? I know that you have cried countless tears. I know that you have tried countless times. The fault is not yours that he did not see clearly, but now he does. Can you dry your tears and let him show you? Will you? The Lord alone brought you two together. He used you to bring this man to a better understanding of Himself, to a church that he could call his own. He chose the timing of your relationship, He chose the alignment of your hearts and He blesses your marriage. Can you trust Him to fix the unfixable? Can you trust that He will do what seems impossible. Can you trust Him to change your heart? Will you? I can see the pain in his heart. I can feel the desperation in his soul. I can believe that he will be better. I can believe that you will be better. I can believe that you will save your marriage! Can you? Will you?.....this is how I felt.
